| 内容記述 | The scenic poetry depicting nature, landscapes, and local customs and scenery saw an increase in the number of works and significant development in expression during the Wei, Jin, and Northern and Southern Dynasties period. The most important figure in this regard was Xie Lingyun. Xie Lingyun’s descriptive expressions in poetry are characterized by 1) frequent use of antithetical expressions, 2) the use of complex syntax to control the rhythm of the poem, 3) meticulous descriptions of the subject, and appropriate selection of vocabulary. Xie Lingyun brought about essential changes in the descriptive expressions of Southern Dynasties’ poetry. Bao Zhao’s descriptive expressions were also greatly influenced by Xie Lingyun. Bao Zhao’s landscape poems and farewell poems imitate Xie Lingyun’s descriptive expressions clearly. Similar to Xie Lingyun, Bao Zhao extensively used antithetical expressions, constructed complex syntax, closely adhered to the subject, and skillfully depicted nature. Furthermore, Bao Zhao’s frontier poetry not only imitated Xie Lingyun’s descriptive expressions but also created numerous poetic language and descriptive techniques suitable for the theme of “frontier.” Bao Zhao’s development of descriptive expressions in frontier poems played a crucial role in the establishment of the genre of “frontier poems” during the Southern Dynasties period. | |||||
