It is essential to establish a curriculum that is open to society for improving lessons from the perspective of proactive and interactive deep learning. At Fuke Elementary School in Osaka, curriculum management is centered on community learning in which the school, home, and community work together. We are working to enhance regional learning using human resources related to the local natural environment and industry at the school. Life environmental studies and the period of integrated study are arranged as the core of curriculum management to advance the local learning. Additionally, the establishment of the school’s own subject teacher system has led to the enrichment of children’s learning. These schools are not only directly connected to the community but are also a place of learning in which the society as a whole cooperates by utilizing the Lifelong Learning Division and Social Welfare Council, which are familiar with the local situation and human resources.
