| 内容記述 | 本稿は，近世の人々の山への信仰の二事例を通じて，近世の日本の人々の空間・時間の感覚を再現するものである。近世奈良の春日講は，御蓋山・春日山を聖地として信仰していた。山は東方位に位置し，儀式は1月に行い，山は木々が青々と茂る春の風景が山に神仏の坐す証であるという文化を持っていた。かれらは，儀礼を通じて，「生」の文化に統一された時空間を生きていたのである。一方，近世江戸の富士講は，富士山を聖地として信仰していた。山は南西方位に位置し，山に登る儀式は夏に行い，山は阿弥陀佛の住む極楽浄土であった。彼らは儀礼を通じて，「死」の文化に統一された時空間を生きていたのである。かつての日本人にとって，空間・時間・人は，1つでつながっていたのである。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | This paper recreates the early modern Japanese people’s sense of time and space through two examples of their belief in mountains. The Sunnichi-Ko in early modern Nara worshipped Mount Mikagayama and Mount Kasuga as sacred places. They believed that the mountain was located in the eastern, that the rituals were held in January, and that the mountain’s lush spring scenery was proof of the presence of the gods and Buddha on the mountain. Through their rituals, they lived in a time and space unified by the culture of “life. On the other hand, the Fuji-ko in early modern Edo (Tokyo) worshipped Mt. Fuji was located in the south west part of the city, and the ritual of climbing the mountain was held in summer. The mountain was the paradise where Amida Buddha lived. Through their rituals, they lived in a time and space unified by the culture of ”death. For the Japanese of the past, time, space, and people were all connected in one. | |||||||||
