| 内容記述 | Although the quantity of Chinese particles remains relatively stable, debates persist within the Chinese linguistic community as to their internal classification. The Chinese language textbooks from the Meiji era are vital resources for understanding early the instruction in the Beijing Mandarin. Notably, the Chinese grammar textbooks from this period recognize the distinct word class of the Chinese particles. This study focuses on five representative Chinese grammar textbooks from the Meiji period, which classified of the Chinese particles primarily based on their functionality and meaning. Examining these textbooks’ internal particle systems has indicated a dynamic evolution of the perspectives on the particle classification within the Meiji-era Chinese grammar materials, as viewed from a diachronic standpoint. | |||||||||
