| 内容記述 | The belief in "Heimama" holds a significant place in both folk and Taoist traditions in northeast China. While the most well-known legend about "Heimama" involves its relationship with Guo Shouzhen, a key figure in Taoism during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, existing descriptions of "Heimama" are scant. Moreover, written records about this legend did not appear until two centuries later, during the Republic of China era. Consequently, traditional views on the origins of "Heimama" folk beliefs may need reevaluation. This paper is organized into four main sections. The first section provides a comprehensive overview of the beliefs and iconography associated with "Heimama." The second section speculates on the identity of "Heimama." The third section delves into legends that discuss the nature and origins of the "Heimama" belief. The final section employs an analysis of existing legends and literature to explore the relationship between "Heimama" and Guo Shouzhen, further inferring the likely timeframe for the emergence of "Heimama" folk beliefs. | |||||||||
