In particular, this study characterizes the ancient Egyptian mural paintings and plaster discovered at Gesr El-Mudir in Saqqara area. In this area, a number of tombs dating back to the 5th dynasty were discovered. One of such tombs is the Ptahshepses tomb, which has a unique decorative burial chamber. The chamber walls were cased with limestone, carved with bass and raised reliefs, and covered with plaster layers painted with different colors. The characterization of the mural painting was done by using an Optical Microscope (OM), Scanning Electron Microscopy equipped with an energy disperse X-ray detector (EDX), and X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD). Analysis of the examined samples indicates that the plaster layer is composed mainly of gypsum (CaSO₄.2H₂O), quartz and calcium carbonate; the red pigment is red ochre; the yellow pigment is goethite; the orange pigment is a blend of red pigment and yellow pigment, and the blue pigment is Egyptian Blue (Cuprorivaite). The colors and the plaster compositions help to provide an idea of some of the painting materials used during the Old Kingdom in the decorative burial chambers in Saqqara between the time of Unis (the last king of the Fifth Dynasty) and the time of Teti (the first king of the Sixth Dynasty).","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_10_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.32286/0002000290","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10_publisher_34":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"関西大学国際文化財・文化研究センター","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"},{"subitem_publisher":"Center for the Global Study of Cultural Heritage and Culture, Kansai University","subitem_publisher_language":"en"}]},"item_10_relation_9":{"attribute_name":"ISBN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_type":"isPartOf","subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"9784946421334","subitem_relation_type_select":"ISBN"}}]},"item_10_source_id_10":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA12675495","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_10_version_type_17":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"open access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Mustafa Ahmed Abdelfatah","creatorNameLang":"en"},{"creatorName":"ムスタファ・アブデル・ファッターハ","creatorNameLang":"ja"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Muhamed Kamal","creatorNameLang":"en"},{"creatorName":"ムハマド・カマル","creatorNameLang":"ja"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Shabban Mahmud","creatorNameLang":"en"},{"creatorName":"シャバン・マフムード","creatorNameLang":"ja"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2023-09-26"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"KU-0040-20150319-10.pdf","format":"application/pdf","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"objectType":"fulltext","url":"https://kansai-u.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2000290/files/KU-0040-20150319-10.pdf"},"version_id":"060b6e80-d30a-4532-9f99-2e2a659c0f94"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"エジプト","subitem_subject_language":"ja","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"サッカラ","subitem_subject_language":"ja","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"文化財","subitem_subject_language":"ja","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"修復","subitem_subject_language":"ja","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"関西大学","subitem_subject_language":"ja","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Kansai University","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Ptahshepses Mural Painting and its Characterization at Gesr El-Mudir in Saqqara, Egypt","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Ptahshepses Mural Painting and its Characterization at Gesr El-Mudir in Saqqara, Egypt","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10","owner":"10","path":["95"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2023-09-26"},"publish_date":"2023-09-26","publish_status":"0","recid":"2000290","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Ptahshepses Mural Painting and its Characterization at Gesr El-Mudir in Saqqara, Egypt"],"weko_creator_id":"10","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-09-28T01:44:32.583254+00:00"}
