| 内容記述 | The stone tablet that E. F. Wente found in Cairo in 1958, had two written and drawn sides. On the front side this was drawn a male, and on the reverse side this was written in hieratic. He considered it to be a "Letter to the Dead" and sketched it, after that, this stone tablet was lost somewhere. Therefore this is called "Misplaced Letter to the Dead". He presumed that it dates back to the First Intermediate Period in ancient Egypt. This petition letter was send to addressee from two senders. He explained that the first sender was the husband of addressee, but in philological construction, there is no solid ground for this presumption. In according to my philological analysis I considered the first sender to be a female. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the gender of the first sender, and to recreate the relationship between the characters in this letter. From this content I indicated the three possible correlations of the characters from the letter, and favored one among them. | |||||||||
