The ultimate purpose of this research is to propose a future image of Saqqara village which is a "settlement adjacent to Archaeological site" facing ancient monuments. From the survey in 2010, it can be said that the old urban area of Saqqara village is currently at a major turning point. Dilapidated houses in the old urban area are becoming for low-income earners. Households with a high income move to new larger houses outside of the old urban area. The aging houses have a traditional form of housing and are older than 100 years. These significant elements reflect the cultural values and regional characteristics of Saqqara village. If the current situation continues, there is concern about the possibility that the old urban area might become slums. To improve this situation, for example, it is possible to accept tourists visiting the Saqqara site at the village and improve the place for tourism. |

古代遺跡に臨む「臨・遺跡集落」であるサッカラ村の将来像を提案することが本研究の最終的な目的である。今年度の調査により、サッカラ村の旧市街地は、現在大きな転換期にあるといえる。旧市街地の老朽化した住宅が、低所得者向けの住宅の受け皿となっている。所得を得た世帯は、旧市街地の外側に広い住宅を建設して、移転していく。老朽化した住宅は、100年以上が経つ住宅であり、これらは文化財的価値や、サッカラ村の地域性を表す重要な要素でもある。しかし、これらの価値付けはなされておらず、大事に住まわれること無く朽ちている。現在の状態が継続することは、旧市街地のスラム化とも言える現象を招く可能性が危惧される。このような状況を改善するためには、例えばサッカラ遺跡への観光客を村に受け入れ、観光地としての整備を進めることが考えられる。 |
