| 内容記述 | In this paper I present a description on the utilization of modern-day science and materials and their application in the restoration and preservation of archaeological and heritage sites. This utilization is achieved by the creation and the implementation of new method of artificial rock. The key element, in obtaining an emulsion solution with water-vapor-permeablity, is to gradually mix the epoxy resin with a hardener and cure it under controlled condition to achieve the desirable consistency, while monitoring the quantity and quality of added water and aggregate. Adjusting resin's percentage will adjust the density and hardness of the artificial rock/earth, while adding pre-prepared, sized and measured local aggregate's particles will simulate the original in color for better workability. While careful attention to details during the preparation is very important, also proper estimate, management and storage of cured solution for future is equally important. Application methods vary according to purpose and location of use, ranging from replacing and strengthening deteriorated and fresh rocks in rock wall foundations, to fortifying earth dwelling traces against chemical/natural elements, plus the usage of epoxy resin mortar in filling the joints between rocks. | |||||||||
