| 内容記述 | この論文では、2つの事例を通じて、写真と言語との関係を考察する。1つ目の事例ではロラン・バルトのプンクトゥム概念をTwitter上の投稿へと適用し、2番目の事例では、同じ概念を被災写真のインスタレーションへと適用する。これらの事例から、3つの重要な知見が得られた。第1に、写真理論が扱う対象を拡大できる可能性を示した。第2に、既存の写真理論と写真史が扱ってきた対象の偏りを指摘することができる。最後に、写真の物質性とビッグデータの特性とを併せ持つ資料群としての被災写真が、質的な写真研究と量的な写真研究とを架橋する土台となり得る可能性を描き出す。本研究は、言語と写真の関係に新たな光を当て、この分野における今後の研究にとっての基盤を描くものである。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This study examines the relationship between language and photography through the analysis of two case studies. The first case study applies Roland Barthes’concept of punktum to a Twitter post, while the second case study applies the same concept to a collection of disaster-stricken photographs. These case studies reveal three significant findings. First, these case studies extend the subject matter that photographic theory addresses. Second, they reveal a bias in the subject matter that current photographic theory and the history of photography address. Finally, they highlight the potential of disaster photography as big data, combining the materiality of photography with the capacity to bridge qualitative and quantitative photographic research. Overall, this study sheds new light on the relationship between language and photography and identifies key opportunities for future research in this area. | |||||
