 note = {In 1875, a Steamship route from Yokohama, Japan to Shanghai was opened. The NYK Line, which was established in 1885, inherited and developed the route. In 1923, NYK Line, which sought even greater speed, introduced two excellent high-speed passenger ships, two 5,000-class ships, the Nagasaki Maru and the Shanghai Maru, and will carry out regular operations connecting Nagasaki and Shanghai in 26 hours. At that time, a series of "China Pamphlet" and "Shanghai Route Guide" will be published as guidebooks for passengers on board.
