| 内容記述 | The paper discusses the emerging trend of locally-owned tourism businesses in rural and mountainous areas in Japan based on a case study in Iida City, Nagano Prefecture. In 2005, Minami Shinshu Tourism Association, a stock company dealing with educational school excursions and experience-based programs, was presented with an Ecotourism Award, which causes the public curiosity of population. To learn the pros and cons of rural-ecotourism model in Iida City as referential lessons for Vietnam's ecotourism development, the authors have analyzed the conditions of the foundation and success of Minami Shinshu Tourism Association. A question to be raised after that is whether it should be applied and how to apply it in the conditions of Vietnam. We proposed five suggestions as follows : 1）objectives ; 2）location ; 3）cooperation ; 4）type of company ; 5）environment conservation. | |||||
