| 内容記述 | Li Pingshu （李平書） is one of famous industrialists in modern China. He has come to Japan for five times and spent three years as exile refugee in Japan after 1911 Xinhai Revolution. Japan played an important part in his later life. However, former researchers focused mainly on Li Pingshu's contribution to Xinhai Revolution, particularly on his activities in retaken of Shanghai, or on his dedication as a pioneer of Shanghai's modern development. Li's experiences in Japan remain almost untouched. This paper tracks down Li's historical trail on Sino-Japan relationship in late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, through records of his participation of the Nanyang Commodity Exposition in 1910 and the Tokyo Taisho Exhibition in 1914, as well as Li's connection to Japanese financial circle. The paper also delineates an unknown side of this important figure in Shanghai modern history, by investigating Li's relation with Japan in 20th-century and his activities in Japan, based on his autobiography and historical records in Japan. | |||||
