As input numerical data for comparison, Harman's 24 Psychological Tests and Terashima and Tsujioka's Group Rorschach Test (200 items) were used. Comparing the outputs of Scree Plots (SAS & FAC-PAC), SAS failed to detect the correct number of factors to be extracted. Concerning the factor configuration plots, SPSS has only orthogonal factors plots (varimax), while SAS and FAC-PAC have also oblique factors plots. However, it is extremely more difficult in SAS to identify the variables used than in FAC-PAC. With regard to the number of variables to be analyzed SAS is limitted to less than 250, while in FAC-PAC there is no limitation, and the number of labels to be used for identification on the factor-plots will be more than 16,000 and we can so choose convenient labels under the hypothesis in the factor-analytic research as to be able to identify and confirm the meanings of the factors.
