Plamenatz， T. Nagel， 田中正司， S. M. Brown，D. D. Raphael，F. C. Hood，J. W. N. Watkins，Q. Skinner，B. Barry，W. H. Greenleaf，藤原保信，中村義知，野嶌一郎のホッブズ解釈についても検討する。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | In this paper I propose to show that Warrender's main thesis in the above-mentioned book is valid in a fairly substantial sense and why. His thesis is that in Hobbes's theory moral obligation is derived from an obligation to obey the laws of nature as God's commands. I also present alternative interpretations of Hobbes's theory of man's right, the absolute right of the sovereign, and the grounds of obligation ; and examine interpretations offered by Warrender's critics, J.Plamenatz, T.Nagel, S.Tanaka, S.M.Brown, D.D.Raphael, F.C.Hood, J.W.N.Watkins, Q.Skinner, B.Barry, W.H.Greenleaf, Y.Fujiwara, Y.Nakamura, and I.Nojima. | |||||
