(1971) は，過去30年におよぶロールシャッハ・テストの研究によって，アルコール依存者とそうでない者との間に差異があるとみなされてきた仮説を20項目にまとめ，その妥当性について検討した。彼の検討結果は，過去の知見と異なり，有意差の検出された仮説はただ2つで，しかも両者とも予測に反するものであった。今回の研究では，Ackerman, M.のまとめた20項目の仮説の妥当性を再検討し，それによってアルコール依存者のパーソナリティ特性を把握しようと試みた。実験群は男性アルコール依存者150名であり，統制群は男性正常者100名であった。本研究でアルコール依存者に有意に多かった項目は，1. (1971) attempted to validate twenty hypotheses reported over the past three decades professing to differentiate alcoholics from non-alcoholics using the Rorschach Test. He found only two significant differences which were contrary to the results predicted. This study aims to reexamine the validity of twenty hypotheses culled from the literature on alcoholism and the Rorschach Test, and to assess characteristics of the alcoholic personality.
