| 内容記述 | SchönemannとCarrollによって提案された一般化プロクラステス解法が，数学的な公式と高校生から得られたYG性格検査の経験的数値データによって，Schönemannの提案した直交プロクラステス解法と比較された。因子分析のためのプロクラステス回転やユークリッド空間における多変量解析のための一般化プロクラステス解法が，多くの数学者によって提案されてきたが，心理学者や社会学者のような実質科学者が，このような数学的処理の意味するところを，より容易に理解し，解釈するための基準を提示するような研究はさほど多くはない。この論文の目的は，因子分析法，主成分分析法，計量・非計量の多次元尺度法，そしてまた，正準相関分析法などを含んだ多変量解析の解の中に潜在している構造を確認するための適切な比較法を選択するための基準を提示することである。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Generalized Procrustes analysis proposed by Schönemannn and Carroll was compared with orthogonal Procrustes analysis proposed by Schönemann by means of mathematical formulations and also of empirical numerical data of the YG Personality Inventory obtained from highschool students. Although Procrustes rotation for factor analysis and generalized Procrustes analysis for multivariate analysis within Euclidian space were proposed by many mathematicians, we have not so many studies to present the criteria for substantial scientists such as psychologists and sociologists to make it easier to understand and interprete the meaning of such mathematical treatment. The purpose of this article is to present those criteria for choosing the appropriate comparison methods to confirm the underlying structures within the solutions of multivariate analysis such as factor analysis, principal component analysis, multidimensional scaling;metric and nonmetric, and also including canonical correlation analysis, etc. (author abstract) | |||||
