| 内容記述 | 自らの体験情報に依存できない情報化社会では，我々はいじめが深刻化しているとするマスコミの状況規定を受け入れざるをえない。そして，問題行動の加害者も被害者も周囲の人々もすべてが神経過敏になり，あらゆる行為をいじめという文脈で解釈する。また，問題行動や自殺を敢行する青少年にすら格好の動機を付与する。このような状況での社会調査は，いじめの深刻化を裏付けることとなり，これがまたマスコミを勢いづける。このような諸要因のポジティブ・フィードバックによって，いじめ問題の深刻化が増幅される。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The theorem of "definition of situations" by W. Thomas or "self-fulfilling prophecy" by R. Merton would be eloquently applicable to the present ijime (bullying) problem. If we accept the fact that "ijime is increasing more and more" as presented by the mass media, then it will be real in its consequences. Because ijime is a subjective or psychological construction, the one who would find ijjme would find it. When we accept that image without due consideration, we become more sensitive to ijime, and (re-) interprete every situation in the ijime -context. As victims of bullying, weak youths are convinced of their disadvantegeous circumstances. Reporting ijime has a disinhibition effect and instigates methods and styles to bullies who have kept down the ijime-desire. Delinquents neutralize and rationalize their own misbehavior, insisting obstinately "I had been bullied and paid back.'' The motive of having been bullied is also explained in a note young suicides left behind. Such kind of moral panic gives both assaulters and victims a "vocabulary of motive." And finally, opinion poles and scientific research confirm the fact that ijime is increasing. This positive feedback or deviation-amplifying mechanism intensifies the ijime-problem. | |||||
