One group are the oblique or orthogonal Procrustes methods proposed by Mosier, Schönemann and Ten Berge and the others are hyperplane fitting methods proposed by Lawley & Maxwell and Browne to get a simple structure and factorial similarity. The author proposed an improved method of Lawley & Maxwell's orthogonal rotational method. As a numerical example, the factor solutions of the YG Personality Inventory obtained from 3 groups of highschoolboys were checked numerically by means of sum of squares of differences and also of reference structure.
