Japanese university students(N=371) were instructed to rate one hundred inconsistent situations into seven points scale in terms of subjective judgement of inconsistency. The obtained correlation matrix(100X100) was analyzed by princial component analysis and six oblique factors were interpreted as Value Judgement, Preconditional Dependence, Less Probable Outcome, Lack of Connective Condition, Emotional Situation, and Thoughtlessness. Second-order factors from primary6 factor correlations indicates the three dimensions of cognitive structure, i.e. Intellectual or Logical Inconsistency composed of Less Probable Outcome and Lack of Connective Condition; Emotional Inconsistency composed of Emotional Situation and Thoughtlessness; and Intentional Inconsistency composed of Value Judgement and Preconditional Dependence.
