| 内容記述 | マグリットによる「Le Viol」の図像は最初の一瞥で人の顔に見える。この図像では，目，鼻，口の位置にそれらとは異なる対象物の形が配置されている。この型の図像において相貌要素の位置が顔の配置になっている場合には，顔の配置になっていない場合に較べてそれらの形の再認記憶がよくなることが指摘された（Davidoff，1986）。この事実は図形の要素を処理する過程が図形を全体的に処理する過程と交互作用を持つことを示唆している。このような相互作用の過程を反映するのが顔パタン優位性効果（FSE）である。この報告ではFSEに関する実験的研究が展望された。FSEとは知覚の初期の段階における顔の配置の特性の検出機能に関連する現象であると考えられる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The image of 'Le Viol' is seen as a human face at a first glance. In this image, the facial features are replaced by a female's torso. Recognition memory for human facial features in normal face arrangement are superior to those in scrambled face arrangement. The fact implies that component analysing processes are influenced by some wholistic processes in which the face is processed as a whole unit. Face-superior effect(FSE) reflects interrelation within these processes. In the present report several experiments on FSE are reffered. FSE seems to be related to some structure detection processes in the early stage of the human face recognition. | |||||
