| 内容記述 | 中国の現代化の特色は，日本の近代化と比較するとわかり易い。日本の近代化は欧米化であって，意識的に伝統を排除しようとした。中国の現代化は伝統から学び，新しい途を探ろうとしている。たとえば，中国中医研究院は1955年に設置された伝統医学の総合的な研究機関である。中国医史文献研究所，図書情報研究所、中薬研究所，中医基礎理論研究所，針灸研究所，骨傷科研究所，第一臨床医学研究所と老年医学研究所（西苑医院），第二臨床医学研究所と眼科研究所（広安門医院）の10研究所のほか，衛生学校と研究生部および中医雑志社などから成り，現在四千余人が伝統医学の研究に従事している。中国の医科大学は121校あり，そのうち29校が中医学院である。中医は全医者171万人のうち1/3の37万人を占める。一方，日本には国立の伝統医学の研究所も，教育機関もない。国立大学には医史学の講座が一つもない。なお，中国の現代化のもう一つの面である中外合弁の最初の一つである，中国大塚製薬（1982-）について述べた。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The characteristics of modernization in China are relatively easy to und erstand compared to those paricular to Japan, where modernization has been mainly "Westernization" accompanied by the deliberate omission of Japanese traditions. In contrast, modernization in China has been based on learning gained from traditions. This is especially true in the medical sciences, as can be seen from the fact that the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine(CATCM), an overall research association established in 1955, is the largest national research center except for the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. The CATCM consists of ten Institutes, including; Medical History and Literature, Medical Information, Chinese Meteria Medica, Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Orthopedics and Traum atology, four Institutes of Clnical Medicine(in Xi-Yuan and Guang-An Men Hospital), and the CATCM Journal Publishing House. At present(1991), there are over four thousand staff members working on research related to TCM. There are also a total of 121 medical colleges, including 29 TCM colleges. The number of doctors working in the field of TCM are about 1/3 of the total number of doctors. In contrast to the circumstances in China, and considering that as there is no national institute or college of traditional medicine or even a single course on medical history in any of the Japanese national universities or colleges, it is evident that there is nothing comparable to this emphas is on tradition in Japan today. | |||||
