Eighteen scales were analyzed by Procrustean factor analysis to compare the structure of four groups(son-father; son-mother; daughter-father; daughter-mother). The factor structure obtained from the subjects (1078 pairs) was regarded as the target matrix. Four primary factors; emotional support, emotional control, extreme autonomy, and identification, were found in common within the eight groups.
