| 内容記述 | 研究の計画，研究結果の解釈，および理論の構築などにとって，分類学的研究は必須である。その視点から一連の研究を行い，向社会的行動の類型，行動の基本的な特性次元，行動を指示する規範的態度，および行動生起に関係する援助動機と非援助動機を明らかにした。ところで，社会的学習によって習得される向社会的行動は，文化に規定される。そこで，同様の分類学的研究を米国においても実施し，向社会的行動に関する日米間の文化差を明らかにする。この研究では，高木（1991，1992，1993）に基づき，米国において向社会的行動の生起を規定する，つまり生起を促進する，あるいは抑制する要因（動機，原因，理由）の構造を解明し，また，得られた促進的，および抑制的基本要因の観点から，向社会的行動の8類型（クラスター）を特徴づける。さらに，要因構造とそれに基づく類型特徴に関する日米間の文化差を明らかにする。その結果，日米の文化に共通するものと，各文化に特有なものとが，構造と類型特徴の両方において認められた。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Taxonomic research is essential for the planning of research design, the understanding of results and the formulation of theory. In accord with this notion, a series of taxonomic research projects has been carried out to detect clusters of helping behavior, fundamental behavioral dimensions, normative attitudes toward helping, and motives for helping and not-helping. As prosocial behavior acquired through social learning is thought to be prescribed by culture, the taxonomic study was done in the United States of America using a cross-cultural approach. In order to extend former research (Takagi, 1991, 1992, 1993), this study has focused upon the clarification of motivational structures for helping and not-helping, motivational characteristics of 8 helping clusters and cultural differences between Japan and the United States of America. The results indicate that there are many similarities, rather than cultural differences, in motivational structures and motivational features of helping clusters. | |||||
