| 内容記述 | 1995年1月17日に発生した阪神・淡路大震災は，兵庫県南部を中心に甚大な被害をもたらした。本研究は「被災地における援助活動」に関する報告の一部として，3月中旬と4月中旬にそれぞれ神戸市東灘区の7避難所と芦屋市の1避難所で実施された面接調査の結果に基づき，被災者の親戚や友人・知人の果たしてきた役割に焦点をあてる。被災者の多くは地震後すみやかに親戚や友人，知人から何らかの援助を受けていたが，同時に彼らに対してある種の心理的な負債感を抱いていた。被災者は互いに助け合い避難所で新たな対人関係を作り上げていたが，地震による大きな傷跡のために今後の生活に対しては明確な展望を持ち得ず，心理的にも不健康な状態に陥っていた。これらは，被災者を取りまく厳しい状況の改善に目を向ける必要性を如実に示すものであった。被災者を支援すべき社会心理学者の役割と責任が，調査がはらんでいたかもしれない限界とともに考察された。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake that occurred on January 17th, 1995, has seriously disrupted the lives of residents in the areas in and around South Hyogo. As a part of reports on "helping activities in the disasterstricken areas", this study focuses on the helping role of the refugees' relatives and friends, based on the surveys conducted in the middle of March and April in 1995, in 7 shelters at Higashinada-ward in Kobe city and one in Ashiya city. The main results showed that many of the refugees received emergency help from their relatives and/or friends within one week after the disaster. They also seemed to feel some indebtedness to the helpers. Although the refugees helped erch other and created new relationships in shelters, they didn't have clear perspectives on their future because of the severe damage caused by the disaster. They were not in good condition at all psychologically, which indicates the need to improve their situation. The role and the responsibility of social psychologists to aid the victims of the earthquake were discussed, along with the limitation that might be inherent in this study. | |||||
