| 内容記述 | 旅行者モチベーションは旅行者行動の心理学的研究の中心課題であるが，人々がそのエネルギーや時間を旅行に向けるための発動因になる基礎的欲求の側面と，特定の目的地や旅行形態を選ぶ際の魅力（ベネフィット）認知の側面とに分けて論じることができる。この2側面は，旅行者の意思決定過程の異なる段階で機能する要因と考えられるが，主たる研究的関心はそれぞれの特性内容（コンテント）の多面性の分析に向けられている。この論文では，旅行行動に関する基礎的欲求の特性内容に関する実証的研究の現状を把握することを意図し，その特性内容の包括的構造に接近する多変量解析的分析のいくつかの事例をふまえて，特に重視されている「新奇性(novelty)」の分析と測定尺度開発の試みを検討する。さらに，旅行者モチベーションの一般的体系構成の意図を表している，マスロー理論にもとづく旅行キャリア・モデルと，特性次元の機能論的分類枠組みの提唱に注目したうえで，筆者により，より直接的に旅行者モチベーションに関連づけた概念的枠組みの試案が提示される。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Tourist motivation, which is one of the most important problems of the psychology of tourist behavior, is analyzed in two phases; one concerns the basic needs of tourists and the other concerns the attractiveness of travel destinations. In each phase, the motivational contents of tourists are investigated in several ways. This paper was written to overview the empirical research on tourists basic needs, and to evaluate two theoretical models of tourist motivation: a travel career model based on Maslow's theory and a six-dimensional model following Katz's functional theory of attitudes. With reference to these research works, a conceptual framework of tourist motivation was proposed by the present writer. | |||||
