A fundamental problem of approach to time-consumption is the classification of daily activities of time-consumers. In this paper, the classification systems of daily behaviors in representative time-budget surveys are examined and several cases of the categorization of discretionary behavior in leisure time and free time are compared. Analysis of the degree of discretion in daily behaviors is discussed for developing the psychology of time-consumption.},
