Though it is so popular, there is little research concerning sociology and social psychology about the convenience store. The investigation done by this research is the beginning of convenience store research to be continued in the future. The main results of the investigation are as follows. A convenience store is something familiar and used frequently, with a short stay time and a small amount paid for a small list of articles. The main purchase are food to put in the mouth immediately after a package is opened, and drinks which can be drunk immediately after a container is opened. Though the convenience evaluation is high, there is little use in the variety of services of the convenience store. A round-the-clock operation and a magazine corner are given priority.
