| 内容記述 | The Ling-yan-si in Chang-ging-xian, Shang-tung-sheng is located at the western foot of the famous Tai Shan, the sacred mountain in the east, and has been counted, together with Guo-ging-si at Tien-tai-shan, among the four major temples in China. Strangely enough, the other three temples had interchanges with Japan since early times, but Ling-yan-si was barely known in Japan. An exceptional episode was that Saicho received teachings from Shun-xiao, a monk from Ling-yan-si, at Lon-xing-si in Yue-zhou. Another episode was that 'Xi-an-chan-shi', written by Shogen from Tofukuji Temple in Kyoto who studied in China in the Yuan Dynasty for his master I-rang who was the 39th chief priest of Ling-yan-si, was found in the temple and attracted attention. Then, were there no contacts between Ling-yan-si and Japan? There are some facts indicating their relations. Shun-xiao's master and Xin-Luo, Ui-Lin, played an active part at this temple and went back to his country to introduce the teachings. Some articles on the relations between the Korean Pennynsula and various places in Shang-tung-sheng appeared in En' nin's travel books. Japanese missions visited Deng-zhou and Lai-zhou in Shang-tung-sheng. Based on these facts, it was attempted to reconstruct Ling-yan-si, restored by Wen-di of Sui, in the history of the exchanges between China and Japan. | |||||
