| 内容記述 | Chu Hsi's Family Rituals was regarded as a work of spurious authorship, but through the recent research work in China and Japan, it has been made almost evident that it was written by Chu Hsi himself. When we discuss the changes and the development of social lives from Song-Yuan period to modern China, we cannot neglect Chu Hsi's Family Rituals. As a result of the rise of the status of ordinary officers and common people, some manners and etiquettes appropriate for their lives became necessary. In order to meet this requirement, Chu Hsi wrote the 'Family Rituals'. It gave a huge impact on the society, and the pre-modern family system is considered to have been formed based on the model designed by Chu Hsi. In other words, Chu Hsi's Family Rituals as the most important work on 'popular rituals of ordinary officers and common people' played a major role as 'civil rituals' in .the pre-modern Chinese society. It should be noted that the impact still remains on some people in the present time. | |||||
