As the result the city center degeneration has become one of the most serious problems for many cities and the center city revitalization became the most important task to solve. In this paper the author analyzed the commercial location for the middle-sized city in Japan and concretely analyzed the three cities in the western Kyushu (Sasebo, Saga and Nagasaki). In this case studies the author examined current urban environment and the land use and commercial development policies.
