In this revision, a \"Period for Integrated Study (Sogoteki-gakushu)\" and \"Information Study (Jyoho)\" will be introduced as a compulsory subject. In this context, we first analyzed the case study reports published by primary and secondary schools in Japan to consider how they have been preparing for such a full-and-large-scale reform close at hand. After a careful examination of these reports, we then chose several exprimental schools which seemed to show outstanding achievements in the following six areas connected to the revision of the national curriculum standard: 1) Information study 2) Collaborative learning 3) Integrated study 4) Elective subjects 5) School-based curriculum development(s) (SBCD) 6) Team teaching.
