| 内容記述 | Fukuzawa Yukichi is generally regarded as one of the founders of modern Japan. He introduced earnestly the Western thought of enlightenment and civilization as a translator, teacher and writer. But, at the same time, he is often criticized as a supporter of Japanese imperialism. This paper examines the coherence of Fukuzawa's social thought by noticing his acceptance of the Eurocentric imaginations about "the Asiatic." | |||||
