| 内容記述 | Aoki Masaru is one of the earliest scholars who study on Chinese traditional drama in the modern time of Japan. This paper is focused on Aoki’s criticism of Confucianism and praises of Taoism. Aoki accepted the Confucian education since the childhood, but he doesn’t seem to like Confucianism, and cause resistance of Confucianism. After Aoki graduated from Kyōto University, he started a magazine named Sinagaku with his friends. Due to the influence of Wu Yu who kept a long time communication with Aoki, Aoki published many theses about criticism of Confucianism in the magazine and send a warm yell to Wu Yu. Moreover, we can also find some criticism of Confucianism and praises of Taoism views from his works. He even said that there is no good guy in the scholar of Confucianism. It may be said that Aoki is extremely unique existence when we consider from the whole trend of the Taisho era period. We also can regard it as Aoki wants to challenge Tokyo Imperial University in Sinology study. |
