| 内容記述 | From the 14th to the 16th centuries, Japanese pirates in East Asian waters frequently attacked coastal mainland China. Wenzhou, located in the southeast of Zhejiang Province, especially suffered frequent attacks from Japanese pirates. By analyzing invasions by Japanese pirates of Wenzhou, and the relationship between Wenzhou and Japanese pirates, it is possible to understand the coastal situation in that era southeast of Wenzhou in Zhejiang Province. At the same time, through this analysis, it is possible to clarify the more deep-seated reasons why Japanese pirates attacked Wenzhou during the Jiajing Period. This study examines the entirety of East Asian waters as background, with a specific focus on the Japanese pirates who attacked Wenzhou. It answers why Japanese pirates attacked Wenzhou frequently during the Jiajing Period（1522-1566） in the Ming Dynasty. |
