| 内容記述 | The Bible is divided into the Old Testament and the New Testament, but the contents are quite different. The Old Testament advocates the obedience to the law of Mose, and there will be punishment from the God as long as the one violates the law, which can be called as a “revenge”. Conversely, the New Testament advocates the spirit of redemption, and forgiveness by the passion of Jesus. When Lu Xun met the Bible, He used the spirit of revenge ― “eye for eye, tooth for tooth” from the Old Testament to fight against his enemies. While for the New Testament, he appreciated Jesus’s spirit of self-sacrifice to save the living beings, and expressed his indignation at the numb masses. |
