| 内容記述 | This paper focuses on works related to “Western Lake” in Gozan literature. During the Song and Yuan dynasties, many Japanese monks visited China. While there, they visited senior monks and temples, developed friendships, and travelled to historical sites, all the while recording what they saw and felt through the medium of Chinese poetry. Throughout their works there are many poems dealing with the theme of “Western Lake”. Through analyzing these works, it can be seen that “Western Lake” became a special cultural symbol as well as an artistic theme, and broadly influenced the Gozan monks. For the literati of East Asia, “Western Lake” had come to symbolize a place that transcends a specific region or culture, while also being a representative symbol of Chinese classical culture. | |||||
