| 内容記述 | Located in the southern part of the Shandong Peninsula, Qingdao is known as the "Throat of Jiaozhou Bay" and has been an important port for internal and external transportation since the 19th century. It is an important case study for the research on China's modern urban history, geography and transportation modernization. Since Qingdao had been invaded and controlled by Germany and Japan for more than 30 years, it is also a typical case study for the history of Sino-German, Sino-Japanese relationship and diplomatic history. In 1939, Japan established the Qingdao Branch of the North China Liaison Department of the East Asia Development Board (興亜院). Based on a detailed investigation of the Qingdao Port and the hinterland, in 1940, the investigation report "Qingdao Port and the Economy Behind It" (『 青島港及其背後地経済事情』) was published. The numerous tables show the resources and transportation of Qingdao Port and hinterland. The survey report was published as a reference material for the East Asia Development Board, mainly to advance the aggression of China and develop the occupied land. This paper studied the investigation and its influence in Qingdao by Japan in 19th century focusing on "Qingdao Port and the Economy Behind It" which is one of key references with great significance to the Sino-Japanese relationship. | |||||
