 note = {Arai Kazuhisa, war artist, created the post cards "Military Life: Japanese and Chinese Conversations and Educational Manga" (從軍陣中生活 日満支會話入 教育漫画 ; 32 sheets in a set) and the post cards "Manga for Quick Understanding of Chinese: The Continental Expeditionary Army and Chinese Customs" (支那語早わかり漫画集　大陸派遣軍　支那風俗 ; 32 sheets in a set). Japanese and Chinese mixed expressions are written in these post cards, which are a rare phenomenon and limited in number. It can be said that these materials are valuable for considering language contact in East Asia. Therefore, these extant post cards need to be organized and re-evaluated as language materials.
