| 内容記述 | In 1925, Soetsu Yanagi, a thinker, made a word as "Mingei". Yanagi also told about Bijutsu, Kogei and Kenchiku in books about Mingei he wrote. Those words started to be used for Japanese in the modern times. Those were translated from Fine art into Bijutsu, from Craft into Kogei, from Architecture into Kenchiku. People interpreted the words differently for each and every person. I want to clarify conceptions of their words Yanagi showed. First, I show the history of the use of their words and the subsequent transition. And I will examine the difference from the conceptions showed by Yanagi and other people. In conclusion, Yanagi did not use Bijutsu, Kogei and Kenchiku as a translation of Western language. In other words, when talking about Bijutsu, Kogei and Kenchiku, he was looking at the essence of things shown by each word such as Japanese history, culture and values. | |||||
