| 内容記述 | Before and after 1968, Shiba Ryōtarō's nationalist narrative underwent an obvious change. Shiba, who was very alert to "state" and "politics" for the reason of the painful experience of war, has begun to talk about "national state" and the "national spirit" frequently and he also stated his "nationalistic" identity for the first time in the meanwhile. Shiba has worked as a journalist for a long time before he became famous as a novelist and he has professional sensitivity for "the high economic growth" and "Centenary of the Meiji" "citizen movement" "new left-wing movement" and other social events. Above-mentioned reality cognition let Shiba realize current Japan has been out of the national system, and became a positive and expectant "light State"; the reality cognition of “light State” stipulated Shiba’s historical consciousness in the meantime, and urged him to make Meiji in The cloud on the Ban be a "luciferous" figure.
