| 内容記述 | Previous studies have revealed that the reception of western art in Japanese artists. The purpose of this study is to explore the reception of western art in a painter as Soboku-Suita. Therefore we alalyzed the understanding of western art and creation activity in the European study. Analysis of the European study of Soboku revealed that he liked Oriental fine arts, Italian fresco and French modern painting. He experienced the trend of the French modern painting actually and learned Italian fresco and antique once more. This result suggests the importance of the Italian fine arts in western art reception. In other words, Italian fine arts were related to modernization of a Japanese painting. | |||||
