| 内容記述 | In modern times，Japan had widely used charcoal and had a large charcoal production. However, since 1918, Japan began to import a large amount of charcoal from overseas, especially from China. Moreover, after the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923, Japan's domestic demand for Chinese charcoal was increased. In order to get a lower price of charcoal from China to supply the domestic needs, Japan emphasized on the importance of Chinese charcoal. Therefore, Wenzhou's charcoal had gradually entered the Japanese market. Especially from 1923 to 1933, the throughput of Wenzhou's charcoal shipped into domestic market of China (mainly shipped to Shanghai) had surged. Among them，except parts of consumption in Shanghai, most of it had been exported to Japan, and occupied the most parts of Chinese charcoal exported to Japan. On the other hand, charcoal was a main export of Wenzhou in modern times. Its data can be found in Chinese Maritime Customs Historical Material. Through these materials，in this paper, the author will attempt to approach the situation of Wenzhou's charcoal exported to Japan. | |||||
