| 内容記述 | The translation of the "Napoleonic Penal Code" is considered to be the model followed originally by China and Japan before both countries established their own modern penal codes. Many cognates and loanwords can be fouund in between the Chinese and Japanese translations，since the translated terms could be borrowed mutuauy, the translations influenced each other. Using as a basis the Japanese and Chinese translations of the Napoleonic Penal Code, this research focuses on cognates and loanwords; attempts to distinguish between loanwords incorporated in Japanese borrowed from Chinese, and vice versa; and studies the mutual influence between both translations. By this, this research seeks to clarify the exchange between Chinese-Japanese modern legal terminologies via the translation of foreign law. | |||||
