| 内容記述 | The Hakuen Collection 泊園文庫 contains three versions of Danrō 談老 “On Laozi”. Two of them are Fujisawa Nangaku’s manuscripts, one written in a standard calligraphic style, the second in a highly stylized hand. The third manuscript, however, is a transcript by an undetermined fi gure. Although none of the manuscripts have dates, the expression, “my late father said,” is found throughout Nangaku’s annotations in all three versions. Fujisawa Tōgai passed away in 1864, and it can be assumed that all of the manuscripts were completed after this date. The aim of this paper is to establish the order of their completion and suggests the following: the version written in a highly stylized hand, the standard calligraphy version, and the transcribed version. Historically speaking, Fujisawa Nangaku inherited the tradition of the Sorai School. He mastered and broadened academic perspective for bibliographic studies, classical texts’ rhetoric, and pre-Qin period Chinese philosophy. It can be argued that Nangaku’s Danrō is the most comprehensive work on the study of Laozi conducted by the Sorai School. |
