 note = {The purpose of my work is to examine how foreign children’s literature has been accepted in China. After the May Fourth Movement and the New Culture Movement, a lot of children’s literature has introduced into China from foreign countries. Such background developed awareness of children’s literature, and it led to publish magazines for children. Er tong wen xue and Xiao peng you are the most important among such magazines. Both of these magazines are essential in the development of Chinese children’s literature. In this paper I will focus on the Xiao peng you. I will examine for one year from the start of the magazine to clarify the characteristic, and consider the acceptance of foreign children’s literature in China at that time.},
