 note = {Regarding Robert Morrison’s grammatical theory from his Grammar of the Chinese Language (1815), not only its specific contents and characteristics but also the Western people’s view of Chinese at that time, the process of systematization of Chinese grammar, the interference with the mother tongue (Western language=English), and the limitation due to such interference are discussed in this report.
