(2008) の論文を紹介し、Person-Centered Therapy（以下、PCT）にもたらした新たな知見に関して若干の考察を述べる。内的統合モデルとは、自己は多様な内なる声を持つと想定し、それぞれの声は経験の布置や在り方を象徴していると捉えている。Goldsmith et al. (2008) は、Therapist（以下、Th）のリフレクションによってThとClient（以下、Cl）の間に、そしてClの内的な声の間に理解の架け橋が構築され、Clの問題のある内的な声が統合されるプロセスにつながったと主張している。Goldsmith et al.
