Therefore, we must reconsider the contents of computer literacy classes for freshmen in universities starting in 2006. The Ministry of Education in Japan designed the curricula to provide every high school student with a kind of 'scientific sense of Informatics'. To acquire a scientific sense of informatics, it is considered essential to perform practical computer programming in the laboratory sessions.
