清代官吏張五緯が発給した告示に関する言語的考察 A Linguistic Study of the Notices Issued by Qing Official Zhang Wuwei 王, 婷 張五緯 告示 註解 教化 示諭 Zhang Wuwei Proclamations Interpretation moral indoctrination Directive 関西大学 Kansai University Before the modern era, vernacular was mainly used in the fields of literature and written records, and it was believed that there was no vernacular in practical texts. But as the study of historical materials progressed, it was recognized that proclamations, although few, were also valuable as vernacular materials. Among them, a Qing official named Zhang Wuwei introduced elements of vernacular and colloquialism into his proclamations to advise and indoctrinate the people. In addition, the style of Zhang Wuwei's writings is a mixture of literary and colloquial styles, which shows the characteristics of his writings in consideration of different subjects and purposes, despite the fact that his writings were written in the pre-modern era and required a consistent style.
